
The family of Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has been thrown into mourning following the passing of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Zainab Hussain.
Hajiya Hussain, mother of Hajiya Munira Marwa, wife of Gen. Marwa, died in the early hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Abuja. She was 76 years old.
Funeral prayers (Janazah) for the late matriarch was scheduled to hold the same day—Saturday, June 21—at 2:00 p.m. at the National Mosque in Abuja. Interment followed immediately at the Gwarinpa Cemetery, also in the Federal Capital Territory.
The family has requested prayers for the repose of her soul, asking that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, grants her eternal rest, and admits her into Aljannatul Firdaus.
“Kindly remember the family in your prayers during this moment of grief,” a E-statement issued by the family read.
