While still basking in the euphoria of the “sentinel” device a smart wrist band that prevents one from touching the face (in response to the covid 19 pandemic), creation Energy has once again made the continent proud by coming 2nd place at the just concluded international hardware cup finals .
The event hosted in the USA with participants pitching online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, saw the team carting away with the 5000 (five thousand) U.S Dollars cash price for 2nd place with one of their latest device, a generator that runs on cassava water.
Reacting to the victory online, Henry Ebulue, co-founder creation Energy, thanked God for doing it again in their lives as they are the first in Africa to attain such feat in that competition.
International Hardware cup competitions are run by global partners- Arrow Global and ADI-News and this year’s final took place on may 19th 2020 with a 50,000 US dollars grand prize and additional cash prices for 2nd and 3rd place.
Henry Ebulue and Isaac Edmund of co creation energy, both final year students at the federal university of technology Owerri (FUTO), emerged finalist from African region, thereby representing the continent at the competition online and emerged 2nd place out of 15 contestants becoming the first in Africa.
