A Fire Extinguisher Explosion which occurred approximately 4.30pm on February 23rd, 2025 has left three individuals severely injured.
In a report by one Mohammed of Olodi Apapa, a 40-year-old scrap dealer had purchased a disused fire extinguisher which exploded while he attempted to dismantle it. The scrap dealer and two other men, aged 50 and 45 sustained various injuries in a blast.
The victims were rescued and rushed to Ajegunle General Hospital for treatment.
Although Police detectives visited the scene and the hospital as part of an ongoing investigation, the incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of handling discarded or disused equipment without proper precautionary measures.
