Ibom Air Announces Temporary Suspension of Flights to Enugu Due to Runway Rehabilitation

Ibom Air has announced a temporary suspension of all flights to and from Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, following an official notification from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). The suspension is set to take effect from today, April 19, 2025, due to emergency runway rehabilitation works at the airport. The airport will remain closed until May 6, 2025, with operations scheduled to resume on May 7, 2025.

In line with this, all Ibom Air flights to and from Enugu will be suspended during the specified period. Affected passengers are advised to expect communication from Ibom Air’s Customer Service Team, who will assist in providing alternative travel arrangements or rebooking options. Passengers are encouraged to stay updated by checking their emails and SMS for any changes, and they may also reach out to the airline’s call center for further support.

Ibom Air expressed regret over any inconvenience this temporary disruption may cause but assured customers that the airline’s priority remains their safety. The airline thanked its customers for their understanding and cooperation during this necessary maintenance period.
