Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy, was arrested by a group of police officers on Tuesday, January 12, 2026, while she was live streaming on FaceBook with family members .
The officers, who arrived in a vehicle without a plate number, are suspected to be the same individuals involved in a previous arrest last year.
It was reported that the arrest may have been linked to Regina’s separation from her husband, billionaire Senator Ned Nwoko, whom she accused of domestic violence in 2025.
Regina, currently seeking asylum in the UK, was heard on the live stream advising her brother to remain calm to avoid further implications and instructing the family lawyer.
Concerns are rising that this arrest might be an attempt to pressure Regina into returning to her estranged husband who has reportedly accused her family of stealing $40;000 from his home when she was still married to him
Although, Regina disclosed that warrant for arrest has been issued to members of her entire family, they are working with the lawyer to seek Sammy’s release.
