A 74-year-old man, Aderinsola Addiths, has been arrested by the police for alleged defilement of a 13-year-old girl, Iyanu Adeosun, in his room at Iju. The incident reportedly took place on March 12, 2025.
According to reports, the case came to light when the victim informed her father about the alleged act. Her father subsequently reported the matter to the Iju Police Division on March 13, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Following the complaint, a team of detectives visited the scene to commence investigations. The survivor was immediately taken to the hospital for medical examination and treatment, while the suspect was arrested and placed in police custody.
Police authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the matter is ongoing to ensure justice is served.
