ASH WEDNESDAY MASS AT OUR LADY QUEEN OF APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH ILUPEJU.
Catholics all around the nation were seen putting on a touch of black today as they joined Christians Globally to mark Ash Wednesday, a Christian holy day of prayer and fasting which is also the first day of Lent, six weeks of penitence before Easter.
It was no different at the Our Lady Queen of Apostle Parish, Ilupeju, Lagos. As Worshipers came to church mostly on black attires to adhere to a statement signed by the president of the CBCN, Archbishop Augustine Akubeze, urging Catholics Nationwide to dress in black with the aim of showing their grievances over the killings and insecurity ravaging the country.
