The training for 500 Ibom Community Watch constables was formally inaugurated by Gen Koko Essien (rtd), the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Waterways, on behalf of the Akwa Ibom state government.
The event took place on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 at the training pitch of the Nest of Champions stadium in Uyo.
Notable attendees included CP Olatoye Durosinmi, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, DIG Ogunjemilusi Samuel Adeyemi (rtd), Honorary Special Adviser, Hon. Uwemedimo Dianabasi Asuquo, Member representing Uyo State Constituency, and Hon. Monday Eyo Okon, Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Local Government Commission, among other dignitaries.
