Precisely three years ago, 121 students from Bethel Baptist High School Damishi. Kaduna State were abducted by some armed men who stormed the school taking the students into captivity.

This traumatic incident which took place on the night of July 4th, 2021, left a harrowing experience in the minds of those who were in captivity enduring weeks of hunger, mental torture and fear.

Recently, survivors and their loved one converged at a church convention to reflect their ordeal and express gratitude for their rescue.

The convention, which held at the Baptist church premises was an emotional gathering of people who came together to give thanks for the safe return of the abducted students.

It served as a moment of healing, a testament to the community resilience and a reminder of the power of unrelenting faith.

However, the school has been relocated to a safer environment as security measures to prevent similar occurrence in future while the Kaduna state government has also pledged more security safety learning environment for children.

Though, the experience has left horrible scars in the lives of those in the community, the Baptist high school community, remains undefeated and united with a determination to forge ahead.

The community remains steadfast in resilience and faith. Their families gathered to reflect on their ordeal and express gratitude for their safe return. The event served as a powerful testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit. With authorities pledging enhanced safety measures to protect children. While the scars of the past remain, the Bethel Baptist community stands united, determined to ensure a safe environment for children and a future free from fear.
