The Multiwoman Network, a non-governmental organization, dedicated to empowering women through education, mentorship, and community building; in line with its commitment to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 & 17 in Nigeria and other african countries has empowered women and young girls in cash and kind to unlock their full potential, cultivate inner harmony, and embrace a purpose-driven life at the fourth edition of her signature event – The Multiwoman Conference.
This year’s conference themed, Exhale: Breathe, Live, Shine; was carefully crafted to empower individuals to thrive in their personal and professional lives by cultivating a state of well-being, clarity, and confidence. The event which brought together a diverse group of people from different walks of life both virtually and physically, had a line-up of speakers who are renowned and influential individuals, using their own experiences to expose the participants to practical ways to find themselves, their purpose and execute it efficiently in a world where unfavourable economic situation and unfair conditions are the order of the day.
Through a well-curated variety of captivating activities, “Exhale: Breathe, Live, Shine” guided participants through an immersive journey of personal growth and self-discovery, providing them with valuable tools and insights to flourish in all aspects of their lives. Typical to the theme, the Multiwoman Conference 2023 was an embodiment of an atmosphere that encouraged fun, relaxation, vulnerability while fostering deep learning and meaningful connections.
Some highlights of the program include the following:
•Disbursement of business support funds to 12 SMEs/MSMEs owned by women and members of the deaf community.
•Educative and exciting games and mouth-watering prizes for winners
•A spontaneous award of over #100,000 to a 53-year old woman who demonstrated an unusual courage while participating in an activity.
•A delightful spoken word performance by a child prodigy, Praise Oyeniyi
•A mother – to – daughter charge on resilience by Amb. Unyime-Ivy King, the Co- founder of Ubong King Foundation.
•A fatherly encouragement on breaking limits regardless of gender stereotype by Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, the Chairman of Executive Group and Board Member, Lagos State Security Trust Fund.
•A powerful prayer session led by Mr Oluwakoyejo Oluwatosin, the CEO OF Chronicles Software.
•A panel discussion featuring notable public figures and lots more.
Other speakers in attended includes: Dr Wale Olasoji, Sunmbo Adeoye, Funto Ibuoye, Mercy Okeke, Raymong Okpani, Victory Dibie, Grace Oriaghan etc. Participant testimonials echoed (and still echo) the program’s impact, highlighting the profound shifts they experienced in their mindset, well-being, and relationships.
