A case of conspiracy and defilement involving a 14-year-old girl was been reported to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja on February 2nd, 2025.
According to police report, the complaint was filed by the victim’s mother, on behalf of her daughter. The suspects, 32-year-old Samuel Alfred, who is the minor’s stepfather and 21-year-old Obi Ikechukwu, were arraigned in court 9 at Ogba.
The complainant alleged that the stepfather had been having sexual intercourse with the minor since she was 11 years old and in October 2024, she became pregnant. She further alleged that the second suspect, Obi Ikechukwu has sexual intercourse with her while in pregnancy claiming that the act would ease childbirth.
The two suspects have been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
