Buchi Honoured with CMC Achievement Gold Medal at Freedom Park

Veteran gospel reggae artiste Buchi Atuonwu has been honoured with the prestigious CMC Achievement Gold Medal, presented in a colourful ceremony at Freedom Park, Lagos Island. The award, a symbol of excellence and positive impact in the entertainment industry, was bestowed in recognition of Buchi’s decades-long commitment to gospel music and inspirational messaging.

The medal was formally presented by Mr. Kolon, Chief Personal Staff (CPS) to the Founder and CEO of CMC Gladiators, Mr. Cornell Udofia, who is also the convener of the award.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kolon praised Buchi’s unique musical style and enduring influence: “Buchi’s voice has been a beacon of hope for many. Through gospel reggae, he has built a legacy that continues to inspire across generations.”

In his acceptance remarks, Buchi expressed deep appreciation for the honour. “I’m grateful to be recognized not just for the music, but for the message. This is a motivation to keep going, to keep shining the light,” he said.

The ceremony was attended by fans, media practitioners, and members of the CMC Gladiators group — a network known for supporting talent and celebrating excellence in the creative industry.
