President Bola Tinubu has extended birthday congratulations to Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote, commending his contributions to the economic and industrial growth of Nigeria and the wider African continent.
In a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Dangote as a prominent symbol of African entrepreneurship whose investments have significantly reshaped major sectors of the economy.
“Aliko’s entrepreneurial vision, resilience, innovation, and commitment to excellence have transformed industries and positioned Nigeria as a hub for large-scale petrochemical and cement production,” Tinubu said.
The President further noted his flagship industrial ventures, including the Dangote Refinery and petrochemical operations, alongside his extensive cement manufacturing facilities across Africa, emphasizing their contribution to employment generation and infrastructure advancement.
“I salute Aliko for his conglomerate’s role in job creation, infrastructure development, and unwavering belief in the Nigerian economy and its potential,” the statement added.
Dangote’s Philanthropy and Social Contributions
Tinubu also acknowledged the humanitarian efforts of the Dangote Foundation, highlighting its impact in key social sectors such as health, education, and poverty reduction.
“I also applaud Aliko’s philanthropic efforts… which have significantly impacted lives in health, education, and poverty alleviation,” he said.
The President concluded his message with prayers for Dangote’s continued health and greater achievements in service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity.
