President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to visit Akwa Ibom and Rivers states on Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7, respectively, to inaugurate several development projects and attend an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.

The President will depart Abuja for Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, according to a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

During the visit, Tinubu is expected to commission several facilities at the Victor Attah International Airport, including its new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village.

Other projects lined up for inauguration include the Airport-Okopedi Road, connecting communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, as well as Ring Road 3, which links Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

The President will also commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre, and ARISE Palm Resort.

As part of preparations for the presidential visit, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has declared Friday a work-free day to allow residents to welcome the President.

Tinubu is also expected to participate in political engagements during the visit, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

On Saturday, November 7, he will travel to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for an APC rally.

The Presidency described the Rivers event as the President’s third political rally since the formal launch of his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.

It added that the visits would provide an opportunity for Tinubu to interact with political leaders, party members and supporters, while strengthening party unity and promoting national development.
