Lagos police operatives have successfully apprehended a robbery suspect and recovered a stolen vehicle following an attack on an Uber driver in the Agege area of the state.

The incident occurred on February 22, 2025, at about 7:34 p.m. when the victim, an Uber driver based in Sango Otta, Ogun State, picked up a passenger identified as Kelvin Musa at NITEL, along Old Abeokuta Motor Road, Agege. The trip was headed to Marriott Hotel, GRA Ikeja. However, upon reaching Ile-Zik, the passenger allegedly pulled out a sharp knife and viciously stabbed the driver multiple times before forcefully dispossessing him of his Toyota Camry saloon car.

The injured driver later managed to report the attack at Isokoko Police Division at about 10:30 p.m. Acting swiftly on the report, a team of police operatives tracked the stolen vehicle to the Oshodi area, where they intercepted the suspect. Musa was immediately arrested, and the stolen car was recovered and taken to the station.

Meanwhile, the injured driver was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention. Authorities confirmed that an investigation into the case is ongoing.
