Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have intercepted an unregistered MAN diesel truck conveying military camouflage uniforms and suspected illicit drugs at the exit point of Lagos State, leading to the arrest of four suspects.
According to the Command, the operation was carried out based on credible intelligence. The truck was found transporting forty-seven (47) sacks containing military camouflage uniforms and eighty (80) cartons of drugs suspected to be illicit substances.
The police disclosed that the four suspects arrested in connection with the incident are currently in custody while investigations continue.

In a statement, the Command said, “Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command, acting on credible intelligence, intercepted an unregistered MAN diesel truck at the exit point of Lagos State conveying forty-seven (47) sacks of military camouflage uniforms and eighty (80) cartons of drugs suspected to be illicit substances.”
Preliminary investigations revealed that the military camouflage uniforms were allegedly being transported to the eastern part of the country.
The Command further stated that efforts are underway to uncover the source of the recovered items, identify their owners, and determine their intended recipients.
“Investigation is ongoing to determine the source, ownership, and intended recipients of the recovered items, as well as the extent of the suspects’ involvement,” the statement added.
Police authorities also said efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest other individuals believed to be connected to the illegal operation.
The recovery of the military uniforms and suspected illicit substances is seen as a significant breakthrough in the Command’s efforts to curb criminal activities and prevent the unlawful circulation of security-related materials across the country.
