Police arrest for Brutal Assault

Nig PoliceThe Lagos State Police Command has arrested the principal and a teacher of Okota Junior Grammar School over an alleged assault on a 15-year-old student, which resulted in the loss of three of the student’s teeth.

According to police reports, the suspects—identified as Principal Kayode Abolarin and teacher Atueyin Martins—were apprehended after the victim’s mother reported the incident at the Isolo Police Division. The report was filed at approximately 11:00 a.m. on March 11, 2025.

Following the complaint, the police acted swiftly, detaining both suspects. They are currently in custody and assisting with investigations into the circumstances surrounding the assault, which allegedly took place within the school premises.

In an official statement issued on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, ANIPR, MIPRA, assured Lagosians that justice would be served. “The suspects will be arraigned accordingly at the conclusion of investigations,” the statement read.

Reaffirming the Command’s commitment to public safety, Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh stated, “The Lagos State Police Command remains dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone and will continue to address criminal and security matters with the urgency and professionalism they deserve.”
