Former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has passed away, his family announced on Sunday afternoon.
According to a brief statement signed by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu, the 82-year-old former leader died in a London clinic after a brief illness.
“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin,” the statement concluded.
Shehu’s announcement, dated 13-07-25, provided no further details, adding that burial arrangements will be released in due course.
