Residents of Iponri Estate in Surulere, Lagos, are living in fear and distress due to the alleged harassment and intimidation by one Mr. Bolaji Munsedeeq Gbajabiamila, who claims to be remotely related to Hon Femi Gbajabiamila
According to reports, Bolaji who had been abandoned by family members in the estate was deported from the USA and UK on rape-related cases and has been terrorising residents within the estate, causing trouble since his arrival

In a press statement signed by the Iponri Estate community Development Association Chairman. Mr. Abiodun Ogunlana in May, 2025, it was reported that the situation escalated when Bolaji blocked a major entrance to the estate with his car, prompting the CDA to petition the authorities. The Iponri police station DPO, Mr. Gboyega Balogun, responded by towing away Bolaji’s car.
Iponri Estate Residents Cry Out Over Alleged Police Intimidation
However, a reliable source disclosed that this action seems to have angered Bolaji, who has now turned his attention to the CDA executives
He has been using the police to harass and intimidate residents, particularly the executives of the Community Development Association (CDA).
It was further reported that Just last week, Bolaji sent a petition to Zone 2, Onikan, against key CDA executives, leading to extortion attempts by the Zone 2 IPO, Mr. Michael Akande. The executives were allegedly demanded N500,000 bail, but they eventually paid N100,000.

Meanwhile, the residents are calling for help from the authorities, including the Lagos State Governor, the Chairman of Surulere L.G., and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, to put an end to the alleged harassment and intimidation.
