JAMB 2026 UTME: Step-by-Step Guide to Checking Result and Printing Slip

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the first batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). However, candidates are currently unable to print their official result slips, as that feature has not yet been activated. For now, only score checking via SMS is available to candidates.

According to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the option to print result slips will be enabled at a later date. He noted that candidates who participated in the examination session held on Thursday, April 16, can already access their scores through the approved SMS channel while awaiting further updates on printing.

Benjamin also issued a strong warning against any form of manipulation of results. He stated: “Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS received from the official platform (55019/66019) to fabricate or alter scores with the intent to mislead others, including parents. Such actions constitute a serious criminal offence,” Benjamin said. The board emphasized that tampering with result messages is a punishable offence.

The 2026 UTME, which commenced on April 16, is scheduled to run until April 22 across various examination centres nationwide. Candidates are advised to follow only official updates from JAMB throughout the examination period.

How to Check UTME Results via SMS and Print Slip

To check results via SMS, candidates are required to ensure they have at least N50 airtime on the phone number used for registration. They should then send the message “UTMERESULT” to 55019, after which their scores will be delivered directly via SMS.

On the other hand, printing of the official result slip will be done through the JAMB e-Facility portal once activated. The slip contains essential details such as the candidate’s passport photograph, subject scores, and other information needed for admission processing. A fee of N1,500 is required for printing.

When the feature becomes available, candidates are expected to visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng, log in with their registered email address and password, and select the “Print Result Slip” option on their dashboard. They will proceed to payment, select 2026 as the examination year, input their JAMB registration number, and then download and print the slip.

JAMB further advised candidates to rely strictly on official platforms such as efacility.jamb.gov.ng or portal.jamb.gov.ng to avoid scams. It also encouraged candidates to keep multiple copies of their result slip, as it is usually required during screening and admission processes.

Those who have forgotten their login details are advised to use the “Forgot Password” option or visit any JAMB office with their registration information.
