The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to engage key industry stakeholders in Lagos as part of its ongoing assessment of competition within Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.

The Commission is scheduled to host its second Stakeholder Engagement Forum on the Study of the Level of Competition in the Nigerian Telecommunications Industry on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island. The event is expected to begin at 10:00 a.m.

The forum is designed to give stakeholders an opportunity to contribute to the Commission’s consultation process and share their perspectives on the state of competition in the industry.

As part of the engagement, the NCC has provided a QR code through which participants can access the consultation materials relating to the study.

Competition remains a key issue in the telecommunications sector, where operators and other industry participants compete for subscribers, investment and business opportunities.

The Commission’s announcement, however, did not disclose any findings or conclusions from the ongoing study. Instead, it presented the Lagos event as part of its efforts to gather stakeholder input before completing its assessment.

The engagement will also allow industry players to discuss competition-related issues directly with the regulator as it continues examining the sector’s competitive environment.

For further information, the NCC directed the public to its official website, www.ncc.gov.ng, and its social media platforms, including @ngcomcommission.
