African industrialist and philanthropist, Aliko Dangote, has been listed among TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2026, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most accomplished and impactful business leaders of his generation.
The TIME100 list for 2026 also features global figures across politics, business, technology, and culture. Among them are U.S. President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Pope Leo XIV, who currently leads the Catholic Church, as well as technology executives such as Google CEO Sundar Pichai and YouTube CEO Neal Mohan.

Dangote is the only Nigerian featured in the 2026 edition and is listed in the Titan and Innovators category. He is joined in this category by Reid Wiseman, Commander of the Artemis II lunar mission, Sundar Pichai, and Neal Mohan.
Other individuals in the same category include American billionaires and philanthropists Michael and Susan Dell, founders of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, alongside Ralph Lauren, the renowned designer and founder of the Ralph Lauren Corporation.
In the Pioneer category, TIME highlighted individuals advancing science and social impact, including Kiran Musunuru and Rebecca Ahrens-Nicklas for their breakthroughs in genetic therapy, as well as Aaron Williams for progress in heart transplant readiness.

The strategy focuses on moving from regional strength to global competitiveness, with phased expansion plans between 2025 and 2030. The first phase (2025–2028) targets scaling cement, fertilizer, and energy operations, while the second phase (2028–2030) will introduce new global ventures.
